I work with a broad range of processes and mediums including analog and digital Photography Cardboard Prototyping, writing and Collage. I use my processes as a way to think through Ideas and I like to add new processes to explore different ways of thinking. I find value to art that uses process to uncover unconscious pieces of knowledge that is inaccessible without going through that process.
My current work is looking at how people construct and use stories and narratives to store cultural knowledge and traditions. I am interested in how we archive information and how we go about understanding and contextualising that archival information.
At the moment I am exploring the idea an artificial intelligence that can construct a replacement culture and mythos for humanity after it has been lost in an apocalyptic event. What form would that AI take in a physical sense how would it function, where would it source its information from and how would it filter through that information. I am trying to create pieces that will cause people to think in a speculative way about the future and a critical way about the current especially when looking at Data collection and storage.
